The implementing body of the Project is the Croatian Agency for SMEs, Innovations and Investments, and the time frame of the project implementation period is from April 30, 2023 to December 30, 2025.

With the implementation of the Project, investments will be made in new production machines, in our own production of renewable energy and increase in energy efficiency, and at the same time business management and processes will be digitized. Furthermore, it will enable starting new economic activities and modernization, as well as increasing capacity and quality, and especially efficiency of the production process. By reducing energy consumption and producing renewable energy, together with a significant reduction in CO2 emissions and increase in raw material efficiency, we will strongly improve our environmental acceptability and contribute to the numerous goals of the EU taxonomy for the benefit and to the satisfaction of the wider social community and our clients.

In choosing a turnkey solution, we relied on the innovation and reliability of our longstanding partner, Heidelberg Druckmaschinen. We installed the most modern machines in the market – a CTP platesetter Heidelberg Suprasetter 106 + DCL with a plate processor IP 125 HDX T; an 8colour sheetfed printing machine Heidelberg Speedmaster XL 106- 8-P with sheet reversal; and Heidelberg Stahlfolder KH 82/4-KL Automation II and Stahlfolder TH 82-P Automation folding machines. The new machines enable a wide range of products and offer several automated functions, settings and controls for top quality products, faster makeready and operation, cost savings and an environmentally friendly production. Intuitive control systems enable the integration of business processes, leading to increased flexibility and productivity.

Printing plates up to B+ size are automatically fed into the CTP Suprasetter 106 and then transferred to the Interplater 125 HDX T plate exposure machine, with a production capacity of 45 plates per hour, of the size up to 930 x 1,140 mm. As one plate is developed, another is already exposed, and the third one waits at the feed table for insertion into the drum. Prinect software enables quality and colour management throughout the whole prepress and printing process, as well as adjustment and control of all production parameters.

Through automatic control of sheet feed and paper passage through the machine and presetting of several job orders at the same time, our new Speedmaster XL 106-8-P machine is suitable for fast job changes, as well as for large circulations, reaching speeds up to 15,000 sheets/h, on XL formats up to a maximum of 750 x 1,060 mm. Prinect software, including Prepress Interface, Color Assistant and Inpress Control 2, improves the overall workflow significantly and reduces waste.

The Stahlfolder TH/KH folding machines series ensure high quality and efficiency for different types of products. Automatic adjustment of rollers, axes, blade height and inclination, as well as ergonomic design, make machine handling more easier and allow bending of A4 16-page sheets at a speed of 9,000-12,000 sheets/h, with the possibility to save and upload more than 80 folding schemes. Stahlfolder 82 KH/4-KL Automation II is a model with 4 buckle plates and a cross-fold unit (2 blades).

This test was passed successfully at the end of April, which once again confirmed the quality of our printing production, from prepress to the final printed product. The advantages of FOGRA certification are high-quality printing in standardized values, material and time savings, improved efficiency and production stability.

In the second round national winners compete for the title of the best in Europe. The nomination itself is an important acknowledgment for several years of hard work during which GZH has established its position and reputation in the market, and it motivates us to further develop our quality and recognizability.

As a peak of the softbound technology, a new line Kolbus KM 610.A was installed last month. This is the latest generation and high-performance machine, of reliable German quality, and with its variable design it provides a number of improvements – faster preparation and operation of the machine at speeds up to 8,000 cycles per hour, quick movements between various formats, with easy operation of the machine due to full automation and modern systems of control and monitoring.

     

A new rotary cutter Kolbus PK 170 was purchased, which allows precise longitudinal and transversal cutting of cardboard at accurate angles, with the possibility of speed control, and it is easy to operate.

The new installed Kolbus DA 260 casemaker enables perfect preparation of book covers, folders and calendars. Its ergonomic design, easy operation and good visibility make it easier to work at speeds up to 40 cycles per minute. It is ideal for making multipart covers of short runs or special products.

  

By new investments, we responded to the continued development of the market, we have expanded the offer by innovative products and thus became more competitive. Our goal is to continue to help customers to better stand out in the market and increase their satisfaction. In that regard, in 2018, we plan to continue the investment cycle by increasing capacity in the sheet-fed printing and prepress production.

Each phase of the production process is guided, measured and supervised, which guarantees consistent quality and greater productivity.
